With support of the Foundation Open Society Institute, this took place from July 2009 to June 2011. Its objectives included the promotion of reforms in drug policy, changes in legislation and the construction of a Latin American platform supporting these initiatives. With support of the Foundation Open Society Institute, this project was executed between August 2008 and July 2009, and it aimed to sustain and expand activities that contribute to strengthening drug policy alternatives. One of its principal achievements was to promote consensus among governmental and non-governmental organizations on the necessity of revising drug policies in the country. Financed by the International Harm Reduction Association (IHRA), this project took place between September 2007 and August 2008. Intercambios developed and maintained the Latin American chapter of a global project of IHRA which proposes monitoring the global situation of harm reduction.
