Community interventions in health problems associated with the consumption of crack cocaine and other substances
Financed by the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Argentina, this took place between September 2008 and April 2009.
The project supported the actions of the “Locos de Avellaneda” in that county, and counseled “Mezclate conmigo” in the district of Lomas de Zamora.
Its objective was to address the problems associated with the consumption of crack cocaine and other substances among youth in poor urban sectors.
Its main achievements include the establishment of parent groups, friendly service counseling and promotion of voluntary HIV testing, coordination with city agencies and community-based organizations, and development of various community activities.
